The following cities were chosen as being very similar in longitude, yet located at a variety of latitudes:

1.  Miami, FL: 80°13′W
2.  Pittsburgh, PA: 79°58′W
3.  Guayaquil, Ecuador:  79°53′W
4.  Panama City, Panama: 79°31′W
5.  Toronto, Ontario, Canada: 79°23′W

Notice the differences in sunrise and sunset times, as well as temperatures (*F), between the cities:

1.  Miami: Sunrise at 7:21am, sunset at 6:50pm, High: 84, Low:74
2.  Pittsburgh: Sunrise at 7:35am, sunset at 6:35pm, High: 69, Low: 47
3.  Guayaquil: Sunrise at 6:00am, 6:10pm, High: 86, Low: 70
4.  Panama City: Sunrise at 6:06am, sunset at 6:00pm, High: 84, Low: 74
5.  Toronto:  Sunrise at 7:36am, sunset at 6:28 pm, High: 64, Low: 46
